ONR prosecution revealed significant shortfalls from both companies following the incident at the Dungeness B nuclear power station in Kent.

An application and Environmental Statement has been submitted by EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Limited to the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) in accordance with the Nuclear Reactors (Environmental Impact Assessment for Decommissioning) Regulations 1999 (herein referred as EIADR). This is submitted with the intention that it provides relevant information to ONR to enable the granting of consent to carry out the dismantling and decommissioning of the Hinkley Point B Nuclear Power Station (Nuclear Site Licence No. 62C).
