Key findings, inspector's opinions and reasons for judgement made
This inspection reviewed EDF Dungeness B's (DNB) Fuel Route system reliability and management of associated Single Point Vulnerabilities (SPVs). This was achieved through a combination of specific topic discussions including Site Defueling Safety Case journey and Targeted Equipment Reliability Intervention (TERI), and through inspection of facilities. Overall, the sites arrangements and their implementation adequately satisfied regulatory expectations with respect to safety. Throughout the inspection a number of areas of both good practice and minor observations that have been shared with site.
Conclusion
From the evidence sampled I judge that Dungeness B has demonstrated adequate management Fuel Route system reliability and of associated SPVs and therefore a rating of Green (no formal action) is merited.
