Key findings, inspector's opinions and reasons for judgement made

The inspector identified through questioning and sampling their business management system that this dutyholder is a carrier, consignor, and consignee of class 7 dangerous goods. Those goods are parts of the instruments they use for nuclear density meter measurements. Those measurements are made in earthworks and groundworks, and some asphalt investigations.

They currently have 13 nuclear density gauges which are used by circa 10 technicians based out of a number of depots around the UK. In total they employ 104 people, with around 50% of them being technical staff.

A thematic inspection at this site was carried out as described in the ‘subject of inspection’ in this report. The overall rating arising from the inspection is ‘Green’. There are no regulatory issues arising from this inspection.

Conclusion

I judge an overall inspection rating of 'Green - no formal action' was appropriate for this inspection.
