The inspection is part of the annual intervention programme agreed with the facility, focused on the control of legionella bacteria.
Regulatory judgement was based on determining compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (as amended) and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
ONR has confirmed installation of new hot / cold water systems, separated from legacy systems. Improvements noted include system plant redesign and the removal of low usage facilities.
On the basis of improvement action implementation and achievement of effective legionella bacteria control, observed within the hot and cold water systems sampled. An inspection rating of Green, no formal action, has been assigned to this intervention.
