Aim of inspection
The intention of this ONR inspection is to conduct a Licence Condition (LC) 32 (accumulation of radioactive waste) inspection at the NRS Wylfa site. The main aim of the inspection is to establish if NRS Wylfa's arrangements are adequately implemented to ensure that radioactive waste is minimised.

This intervention record covers the planned inspection of Licence Condition (LC) 32 (Accumulation of radioactive waste) at Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS) Wylfa.
LC32 requires the licensee to make and implement adequate arrangements for the minimisation of the rate of generation and total amount of radioactive waste on site. The inspection was completed in accordance with the following ONR guidance:NS-INSP-GD-032, Revision 8, April 2024 – Accumulation of radioactive waste.
The intervention comprised discussions with NRS Wylfa staff, a review of records and documents relevant to compliance with LC32, and a plant inspection.
On the basis of the evidence sampled at the time of this inspection, I judge that the licensee has adequately implemented its arrangements for LC32 (Accumulation of radioactive waste). I therefore consider that an inspection rating of Green (No further action) is merited.
