Exercise Kauri is a REPPIR19 Level 2 (off-site) exercise that will test the Cheshire County Council off-site emergency arrangements in place for Urenco UK Ltd.
In parallel Urenco UK Ltd are to undertake a Level 1 / LC11 test to both support Cheshire County Council demonstrate their off-site emergency arrangements and to ONR to demonstrate their on-site emergency arrangements.

This report presents the findings of a planned intervention that was undertaken to assess the Urenco UK Ltd on-site emergency arrangements.
Examples of good practices were observed and several areas for improvement were identified and shared with Urenco UK Ltd. One regulatory issues was identified. This was in relation to on-site radiological protection practices when delivering an emergency response.
