Aim of inspection
The aim of this inspection was to examine the ongoing effectiveness of Dungeness B's implementation of Licence condition 7 compliance processes focusing on process health/management and the effectiveness/adequacy of investigations (including assignment of levels and effectiveness of improvement actions).

Key findings, inspector's opinions and reasons for judgement made
Licence condition 7 requires that the licensee shall “make and implement adequate arrangements for the notification, recording, investigation and reporting of such incidents occurring on the site”
From the evidence sampled we noted that:
The organisational learning process is overall being effectively managed with appropriate metrics generally in place.
Investigations and resultant actions were overall found to been performed to a good standard with only relatively minor areas for improvement identified.
Dungeness B has implemented an appropriate self-assessment programme.
Organisational learning trending appears effective and adding value at Dungeness B.
Conclusion
I judge that Dungeness B was able to demonstrate that it was appropriately implementing its Licence condition 7 compliance arrangements and hence consider that a Green rating (no action required) is appropriate. I identified a number of relatively minor areas for improvement and these have been communicated to the duty holder and where appropriate captured in its formal condition reporting system for action. I do not consider that these minor observations warrant the raising of a regulatory issue.
