Information requested

  1. I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000:
  2. The number of staff at Senior Civil Service grade, or SCS-equivalent grade/pay band, who are currently working under compressed hours arrangements.
  3. The total number of staff employed by your organisation at Senior Civil Service grade, or SCS-equivalent grade/pay band.
  4. For the purposes of this request, “compressed hours” means an arrangement where an employee works their full contracted weekly hours over fewer than the standard number of working days, such as working full-time hours over a four-day week or a nine-day fortnight.
  5. If your organisation does not use Senior Civil Service grades, please provide the figures for the equivalent senior leadership grades, including directors, executive directors, chief officers, or staff paid at broadly SCS-equivalent bands.

We confirm that under section 1 of the FOIA, we hold the information you have requested. Please see below for a response to each of your requests.

  1. The number of staff at Senior Civil Service grade, or SCS-equivalent grade/pay band, who are currently working under compressed hours arrangements.

    We currently have one SCS-equivalent staff member who works under compressed hours.

  2. The total number of staff employed by your organisation at Senior Civil Service grade, or SCS-equivalent grade/pay band.

    We have nine SCS-equivalent staff members, of whom only one works under compressed hours across four working days.
