Nuclear sites and facilities during 2009-2013

  • Date released: 25 June 2025
  • Request number: FOI202505016
  • Release of information under: FOIA

Information requested

As part of my dissertation, I am trying to answer the question 'In how far did the nuclear catastrophe in Fukushima (2011) affect the house prices near active/deactivated nuclear energy reactors and nuclear repositories in England?' In order to conduct this study, I am using house price data from 2009 until 2013. My next step would be to determine which active or deactivated nuclear energy reactors and nuclear repositories existed during that time and then gather a few informations about them (like year of construction, postcode etc.). I do not need data for the whole UK, but only England. I am only considering sites that did not 'change' during the period of 2009-2013. So if a site was deactivated during that time I would not consider it for example, also not as a deactivated site, since I need stable characteristics of all sites that I am considering. The problem is I need historic data. I wanted to ask if there is any chance, I could receive this historic data from someone?
