I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from you:
- The number of improvement notices served to contractors on the Hinkley Point C site since March 2017.
- The number of non-fatal injuries on the Hinkley Point C site since March 2017.
- The number of fatal injuries on the Hinkley Point C site since March 2017.
Information released
We confirm that under s.1 of the FOIA, we hold the information relevant to your request.
Between 1 March 2017 – 26 September 2022, there has been the following reported on the Hinkley Point C site:
- Two improvement notices served to contractors.
- 82 non-fatal injuries reported to ONR in accordance with the relevant schedule under Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR).
- There have not been any fatal injuries.
Further Information
It is important to note that Hinkley Point C’s internal non-fatal injury figures may differ from those reported to ONR. This is because following an investigation, it may be subsequently found that the incident did not meet the RIDDOR reporting criteria.
