This inspection assessed Magnox Ltd Winfrith’s arrangements and their implementation for the consignment of nuclear matter as required by site licence condition LC5.
This was a planned inspection at the Magnox Ltd Winfrith Site. The inspection was undertaken as part of the intervention strategy for the Decommissioning, Fuel and Waste (DFW) Sub-Division.
During the inspection I undertook a review of arrangements and sampled records pertaining to consignment of nuclear material. No significant areas of concern were noted. The staff were clearly knowledgeable and positively responded to all questions.
I have rated this LC5 inspection as Green “No formal action” as I consider that the arrangements and records pertaining to consignment of nuclear material were adequate.

I have rated this LC5 inspection as Green “No formal action” as I consider that the arrangements for LC5 were adequate and appropriately implemented.
