Key findings, inspector’s opinions and reasons for judgement made

The inspection was to judge compliance against the transport requirements (CDG2009/ADR) relevant to this duty holder. Also to discuss Schedule 2, CDG09, radiation emergencies. Hence thematic areas addressed were primarily those associated with the above legislation, rather than licence conditions.

The transport emergency plan required, where relevant, by schedule 2 of CDG was discussed; EDF was asked to consider whether they need to amend any plans for recovery of the consignments they send from site. To be followed up in a future discussion with EDF corporate.

Based on my findings, I consider Hinkley Point B are in compliance with their duties under ADR and CDG 2009.

Conclusion

I am satisfied that the station is adequately managing class 7 transport activities.
