Aim of inspection
The purpose of the inspection was to undertake a regulatory compliance inspection against all duties imposed by the Fire Safety Order 2005, (Articles 8 to 22), or by regulations made under Article 24, to ensure that the licensee is compliant in respect of the premises.
Specifically to provide assurance that the Licensee’s arrangements associated with all applicable articles were suitable and adequate, and that the licensee is working to those arrangements.

Key findings, inspector's opinions and reasons for judgement made
When considered alongside RRSL's recording of is remedial actions, the Fire risk assessments were found to be adequate in their scope and informative, though some opportunities for improvement were noted.
We were satisfied that testing and maintenance of the fire alarm and fire detection systems is carried out as per the appropriate British Standards requirements, and that the systems are fully operational.
General housekeeping and control of combustible materials throughout the facility was found to be of a high standard, with only minor exceptions noted.
Overall we found that the procedures and arrangements for the provision of life fire safety were well managed at the facilities by competent persons with a good understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
Conclusion
Overall, I am satisfied that RRSL ensures that life fire safety within the facilities inspected is taken seriously, and that RRSL demonstrated a clear understanding of the requirements to ensure continued compliance at the site.
The inspection team were satisfied that overall the duty-holders arrangements in relation to the statutory requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 are suitable and adequate, that the duty holder is working appropriately to those arrangements, and have therefore rated the intervention Green - No Formal Action.
This rating is in line with the established ONR guidance as follows:
“Relevant good practice generally met, or minor shortfalls identified, when compared with appropriate benchmarks.”
“No significant shortfalls identified in the delivery of safety, safeguards or security functions.”
