Executive summary

Purpose of Intervention

This Licence Compliance Inspection was carried out as one of a series of planned inspections for the Chapelcross (CHX) decommissioning site during 2019/20.

Interventions Carried Out by ONR

I carried out an unannounced inspection on CHX’s Licence Condition (LC) arrangements for LC 12 - Duly authorised and other suitably qualified and experienced persons (DAPs and SQEPs) and their implementation.

Key Findings, Inspector's Opinions and Reasons for Judgements Made

From the documentation sampled and the areas inspected, I found that CHX’s implementation of its LC 12 arrangements for DAPs and SQEPs was adequate.  

Conclusion of Intervention

I judged that CHX’s implementation of its LC12 arrangements for DAPs and SQEPs was adequate in the areas inspected and that during this inspection I did not identify any significant regulatory concerns.
