The purpose of this inspection was to confirm that the General Fire Safety provisions on site are adequate, and to confirm that the licensee is complying with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO). The inspection was part of a planned series of visits across all licensed sites. The inspection also aimed to recognise areas of best practice, to encourage a pro-active style of safety management, promote continual improvements in fire safety.
As part of this intervention,
The management team has a good appreciation of how important fire safety is and what impact a fire would have on the facilities, as evidenced by a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment process and a reasonable level of housekeeping across the site. Overall, during discussions around preventative and protective measures, I identified a number of good examples of pro-active fire safety management.
There were no shortfalls in regulatory compliance identified as part of this inspection, and the response of management was very positive throughout, and this was communicated to the site management team at the end of the intervention.
Generally the fire safety arrangements were found to be adequate and compliant with legal requirements, I have therefore rated this inspection as Green (no formal action).
