Information requested

Can I please submit an FOI request for a plan showing the nuclear license area boundary at Torness Power Station?

Information released

I confirm that under Section 1 of the FOIA we hold the information requested. Please find attached the map for Torness power station which shows the licensed site area. The nuclear site licence area is the shaded area as shown in the key to the map.

Our website lists every site we regulate and includes a map showing the position of each one.

Under the Nuclear Installations Act 1965, nuclear reactors (and certain other types of nuclear installation) can only be installed and operated by an organisation that has been granted a ‘nuclear site licence’ in respect of that site. The location and extent of the licensed site is shown in a map which is a legal document attached to the nuclear site licence.
