The licensee at Sellafield wish for a tenancy at will of Buildings 22 and 34 to NNL on the Windscale site, subject to a lease being negotiated to continue NNLs occupation of these buildings in support of their activities in B13.
In accordance with Sellafield Limited's arrangements made under Licence Condition 3, Sellafield Limited has made a submission to HSE's Nuclear Directorate (ND) requesting the consent of the HSE.
ND has developed procedures for processing of Licence Condition 3 lease applications. This submission has now completed all of the processes within the procedures.
Various queries have been discussed and resolved with the Sellafield Limited Property Management team.
HSE's solicitors have considered the submission documentation, and have advised that there are no outstanding legal issues and that the Health and Safety Executive is content to consent to the lease.
Various queries relating to the submitted documentation have been raised by the ND leasing Applications Team and HSE's solicitors. These queries have now been adequately addressed by Sellafield Limited.
HSE has no outstanding issues or concerns relating to Sellafield Limited's request which would preclude the granting of a Consent.
