The vessel entry programme forms part of a statutory outage at the Station running from the beginning of August 2014 and is being undertaken in order to conduct a programme of testing, examination and maintenance of key plant safety structures and systems.
The following Licensee safety matters and provisions to address them were considered during my intervention:
My intervention didn't reveal any radiological protection issues that required action by the Licensee or follow-up by ONR.
From a radiological protection standpoint, I was content with the Licensee's current state of readiness and preparation for the vessel entry campaign.
There were no specific recommendations at the time of writing this report.
