Purpose of intervention

This report describes an ONR intervention conducted at Magnox Ltd's Hinkley Point A nuclear licensed site, undertaken as part of a series of routine interventions set out in the Integrated Intervention Strategy document.

The main intervention was a planned system based inspection of emergency arrangements.

Overall, it was judged that the site emergency arrangements adequately fulfil the requirements of the safety case.

Key Findings, Inspector's Opinions and Reasons for Judgements Made

There were no key findings from the intervention. The site has made adequate progress with delivery of actions in particularly those associated with control and supervision, the expectation being that these will be completed by the end of 2014.
