This report describes an inspection of Magnox Ltd's Bradwell licensed site, undertaken as part of a series of routine interventions set out in the Integrated Intervention Strategy document.
The visit was centred on Exercise Fez, which was intended to demonstrate the site's arrangements for dealing with any accident or emergency arising on the site and its effects. Having previously agreed the scenario, a team consisting of myself, an ONR specialist emergency preparedness and response inspector along with a Magnox Assurance team, observed the exercise.
Explanation of Judgement if Safety System Not Judged to be Adequate
This intervention did not include a safety system inspection.
I judged Exercise Fez to be an adequate demonstration of the licensee's arrangements.
In the areas I considered during the intervention I found that the arrangements for compliance with licence condition 11 (emergency arrangements) and their implementation at Bradwell were of an adequate standard.
