Purpose of Intervention

This was one of a series of planned Licence Condition (LC) compliance inspections of the Dungeness A Site for 2019/20.

The aims of the inspection were to:

I carried out inspection at site of the implementation of the licensee’s LC5 procedures¬† & LC6 arrangements.¬†

I also carried out a review of the operation of the licensee’s nuclear safety committee.¬†

Key Findings, Inspector's Opinions and Reasons for Judgements Made

From the evidence examined I judged that the licensee’s implementation of its procedures and arrangements for LC’s 5 & 6 is adequate.

I also judge that the licensee seeks advice from its nuclear safety committee in accordance with its arrangements and that the committee operates within it’s approved terms of reference.

Conclusion of Intervention

ONR is satisfied with the implementation of the licensee’s LC5 procedures & LC6 arrangements.

ONR is also satisfied with the operation of the licensee’s nuclear safety committee constituted under LC13.
