This inspection was carried out as part of the agreed programme work for the Magnox organisational change programme.
This intervention consisted of an inspection of the corporate arrangements for the Implementation of a Management of Change to move Magnox from a site based structure to a programme based structure.
The inspection consisted of an interview with the Responsible Manager and a review of the evidence file produced to support the Management of Change.
The inspection found some minor areas of improvement that should be considered for future corporate management changes. These were focussed on the level of detail in the implementation plan, and ensuring that there was sufficient evidence to show that the Management of Change actions had been adequately completed. I noted that one of the nuclear baseline roles created by the Management of Change had not been fully implemented on all the nuclear sites, but that the Responsible Manager had identified this during a post implementation review and the shortfall was being addressed.
I have rated this intervention as Adequate, as although shortfalls have been identified, they have been recognised by the Responsible Manager, and are being addressed and the Responsible Manager is ensuring the lessons learned from this change are being considered for future planned changes.
