Explanation of Judgement if Safety System Not Judged to be Adequate

Key Findings, Inspector's Opinions and Reasons for Judgements Made

The intervention was performed in line with ONR’s guidance requirements (as described in our technical inspection guides) in the areas inspected.

For this planned compliance inspection, based on the discussions, explanations and the sample inspected on this occasion I am satisfied that the established arrangements for LC 7 incidents on the site are being adequately implemented. In particular, the reporting of events, the screening of events, the identification of corrective actions and the utilisation and dissemination of events are implemented to an adequate standard.

For the Regulatory Issues KIT and Assembly Facility Issues, I was satisfied that there were no shortfalls and no need for any further regulatory action at this point.

Conclusion of Intervention

It is my opinion that of the sample inspected, the implementation of the established arrangements within the Assembly Facility in respect of Licence Condition 7 is to an adequate standard.
