Key Findings, Inspector's Opinions and Reasons for Judgements Made

From the evidence sampled during this inspection I judge that AWE’s implementation of its arrangements to comply with the requirements of LC23 to be to a good standard.  During the inspection I witnessed no shortfalls in the implementation of those arrangements and I consider that AWE has met ONR’s expectations as per our technical inspection guide.

Conclusion of Intervention

Based on the planned compliance inspection undertaken against the requirements of licence condition 23 I consider that the licensee is implementing their arrangements to a good standard.  Against the requirements of licence condition 24 I consider that the licensee has adequately implemented their arrangements.

The planned interventions set out in the Integrated Intervention Strategy for Aldermaston remain valid and will be followed for future inspections.
