Reports observing emergency planning exercises in Civil Nuclear Facilities in UK 1/1/2011 to date

Information released

I can confirm that the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) holds information of the description specified in your request. However, we have identified more than 75 internal reports, together with numerous contributions made by inspectors to other reports that come within scope of your request. Only two of these reports have been published on HSE's website (see links below), so we estimate that it would take in excess of 40 staff hours, including many hours spent by specialist, front line inspectors, to answer this request.

We consider that this request for information is manifestly unreasonable under Regulation 12(4)(b) of the Environmental Information Regulations, because the resource required to answer it would require an unreasonable diversion of resources from the provision of the public services for which ONR is mandated.

However, ONR now routinely publishes details of intervention reports (including two emergency exercises), and site specific reports (including Project Assessment Reports). I can provide you with a link to:

Exemptions applied

Regulation 12 (4) (b) - The request if manifestly unreasonable - too large to process

PIT (Public Interest Test) if applicable

Regulation 12(4)(b) - because the resource required to answer it would require an unreasonable diversion of resources from the provision of the public services for which ONR is mandated.
